In today's technology world, new products are coming out at an extremely fast pace, and the latest and greatest technology that appeals to business is anything mobile.  Mobility is exciting for business because it has promise for improving efficiency, responsiveness, and connectedness while expanding the traditional location locked workplace into something that can be accessed from any place at any time.  These benefits offer the greatest promise of integrating with and improving business processes.  This all sounds appealing, but within any technology environment no new product can enter without changing how existing business processes work and without bringing its own risks to the table.  Overall, the benefits of a mobile workforce outweigh the risks, but the ability of mobility comes with great responsibility for CIOs, administrators, and everyday users of the mobile technology.  More...

This Week The Freedom of The Internet Is At Stake

    Today the International Telecommunications Union started meetings for new regulations of the Internet.  Within these meetings only governments have a say as to what the new regulation changes will be.  This is a startling move at a time in which governments across the globe are restricting Internet access as an attempt to isolate their citizens from open global communication. It is completely unknown what these talks will actually lead to as they are completely closed door.  However, the thing that is for sure is that the Internet should remain open and free for all people. More...
